Nisula is an unincorporated community in Houghton County, Michigan, United States. Nisula is located in Laird Township along M-38, 14.5 miles west of Baraga. Nisula has a post office with ZIP code 49952.Nisula was originally settled under the name Faro. In 1894, Finns from Baraga began moving to the community. A post office opened in Nisula on July 7, 1903. August Nisula, for whom the community was named, was the first postmaster. A Michigan Central Railroad station opened in Nisula in 1903.
